THE SWITCH ROOM A dramatic countdown signals the next chapter of the experience as you step inside The Switch Room to experience a 360-degree film telling the story of Battersea Power Station through the decades, from its history as a working power station to its closure in the 1980s. Then find out what it may have become and celebrate its rebirth as a vibrant new neighbourhood. JOURNEY UP An express lift transports you to the base of the north-west chimney from where you’ll board The Chimney Lift. Continuing onwards and upwards, constellations of light guide your way as the lift makes its exhilarating ascent to the viewing platform 109 metres above ground. Soak in the sights, the world-famous landmarks that make up London’s stunning skyline and enjoy a unique bird’s eye view of the Power Station itself.
